My Poor Baby

Well, the Bug is sick. Really sick. We had a (mostly) sleepless night on Thursday, she and I. I suspect that she may have an ear infection and maybe even strep throat. I don't know for sure though because I can't take her to the Doctor until Monday (Stupid insurance isuues!). Her eyes became matted shut on Thursday also but had been doing well yesterday.
By tonight they were leaking tons of gunk and her eye is pink--so pinkeye is on the list now too!
I hate it when my kids are sick. I feel relatively helpless. The Nurse at the doctors office told me to keep an eye on her and I would need to bring her in if she was getting worse. She understood the insurance issue and wanted to let me know that keeping an eye on her myself would be fine. She also told me to give The Bug Motrin every 6 hours to keep her comfortable.
She gets pretty miserable looking in between the doses, but boy can you tell when it kicks in! Unless something goes wrong and I need to take her to the ER tomorrow (since it'll be Sunday) I will be calling the doctor's office first thing Monday mornign for an appointment.
