This was a fun Memorial Day. I got up early this morning and took Amanda to the store to beat the crowds (in case there were going to be crowds). After we took those groceries home we took the van to get an oil change and then went to Sam's club for some more necessities. The afternoon was relatively uneventful, but at 5 o'clock we had people over for a barbecue. We had Duane & Delcie's family, Delcie's parents the Belk's, and my friend Amanda Ottley. I grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and smoked sausage while Peter and his brother Duane made a canned food storage cabinet out in the garage. We had a good dinner and a lot of fun hanging out and enjoying each other's company.
Now it's time for a crazy week of working with the PTA to get ready for Carnival/Field Day and then getting ready to leave on Thursday for our trip to Arizona/Utah/Nevada. I'm looking forward to the trip but I'm already tired! And I'm gonna miss my Amanda while I'm gone. Hope she does ok hanging out with Amanda O. and Delcie.

Don't worry about Amanda. I think she will be completely sick of us, by the time you get back!
