I got back into town around 1:30 a.m. last Sunday night, but haven't had a chance to write here because life is crazy. It's the end of the school year so on Monday I had to get the last newsletter of the year put together. Tuesday I had a PTA luncheon and then a picnic lunch at GEM with Kevin. Wednesday I had a VIP luncheon at the school and then had to revise the newsletter. Thursday I left the house at about 8:30 in the morning and I was at the school until 1:00 printing the newsletter and helping to clean out the PTA closet. I grabbed some lunch from Rosa's for me, Amanda and Ashlee; then we all headed back up to the school and I finished printing off more stuff before getting home at about 5 p.m.
Thursday night I spent time organizing the garage and going through boxes of stuff from my parents. On Friday I worked more on the garage and organizing to get ready for our Saturday garage sale before I baked about 24 dozen cookies to sell at the garage sale. Saturday was, of course, the garage sale.
Anyway, my little sis Amanda came back from East Texas to stay with me for a bit. She is super gorgeous and awesome. I told her that I would take her shopping for a dress at Kohl's if she would come to church with me. So, we had a bit of a shopping spree on Wednesday after the VIP luncheon. My friend Myranda came too and we found Amanda a great dress, cami, blouse, skirt and cute strappy heels. They are interchangeable and go with other things that she brought with her so now she has a pretty decent wardrobe.
The picture's a bit fuzzy, but isn't she gorgeous?
Our garage sale yesterday went all right. We kept having to cover the stuff up with tarps because it would rain a little and then stop, off and on.
Amanda went to babysit my friend, Susannah's two boys all day while she and her husband went to Lubbock to the temple.
In all, it has been a crazy week and now I have another, even crazier, week coming up in preparation to go to Arizona, Utah, Nevada. We will be leaving this Thursday and coming back the next Thursday. After this trip I am not going anywhere farther than a 3 or 4 hour drive for the REST of the summer!
