Well, I managed to get everything made yesterday with one casualty to the menu. I did not have time to make my oven roasted sweet potatoes *gasp*. I love those dang taters and I missed them, and not just because I have 20 pounds of the raw buggers in a box in my garage right now! I will just have to make some tomorrow. I know I wouldn't have been able to get it all done if my two friends Amanda and Christianna hadn't come an hour early and helped cut potatoes for me! Thanks you two! It was a great Thanksgiving and I am getting that swelling happy feeling that I get every year around this time (except two years ago, but that is another story for another time).
I woke up at 3:30 this morning to meet Amanda and Chris at JCPenny and troll around to other stores for the Black Friday sales. I managed to get a remote control train for around the tree that I was too late for last year. It is all put together but I can't figure out why it won't move!
Christmas decorating is in full swing. The kids were thrilled to put up the tree so it is up and all decorated. Surprise for daddy when he gets home in the next half hour or so. I still have to get everything else up though. Shouldn't be too bad, dinner is already covered (leftovers) so I don't have to worry about cooking tonight.
I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
