The Bug is Two!!!

In all the crazy business of the Thanksgiving holiday and making 30+ pies I neglected to blog about The Bug's Birthday. She is now a terrific two year old! Her birthday was fun. It was one of the coldest days so far and we grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with the cousins and a couple other families who have kids that Ashlee is friends with. The Husband was a great sport about grilling in the chilly weather, he had grilled in the snow before, after all.

After dinner The Bug opened her presents. From us she got a new trike! One of those low to the ground plastic long seated deals. She LOVES it even though she can't reach the pedals and instead straddles it and walks all over the place. The Boy got her a ball popper toy that says it is for ages 9 months and up. She loves it too. He wanted to get it for her on her 1st birthday, but I didn't want him to because it is for babies younger for her. Well, the Hubby took the kiddos Birthday shopping for The Bug and he let him get it. I was wrong, she loves it and plays with it all the time. The Princess got her a puzzle of farm animals that makes each animals noise as it is placed in the correct position.

Cousins got her a Backyardigans DVD and plushes of each character. She takes care of them and tucks them in to bed with her at night, so cute! They also got her two shirts and 2 pants. The shirts are so funny, one has a picture of a stroller and says "That's how I roll" and the other one says "I still live with my parents".

Her friend (and his mom, my friend, and sister who is one of my Daisy's) got her a baby doll. Her baby count is up to 3. She loves to take care of her babies! Our next door neighbors grand kids who are friends with my kids and sleep over occasionally gave her the same ball popper that The Boy gave her. It was a great gift because they chose something that she likes. Kind of funny too, though.
