My kitty is missing! My baby, my cuddler, my lovey, fluffy D'Brickashaw! He is the cat who thinks he is my boyfriend. He is the cat who follows me around like a puppy dog. He is the cat who I love to snuggle because he loves me and adores me, and and and. And I didn't notice until today that I haven't seen him for about a week.
I am so busy lately that it didn't occur to me that he was missing until now! I love my cat. I am sad. I am upset and I can't believe that I didn't notice the absence of his presence for a week.
Maybe I need to slow down my life. Maybe I need to take time to smell the roses. Maybe I need to cut a few things out. But I can't cut anything out.
Last week was so busy because I got put in charge of the Ward Christmas party myself with only a week to get it put together. It went well, but I was exhausted by the time it was over. I had a dentist appointment, Daisy meeting, a sick baby (she has bronchitis of all things!) and trying to clean the house in preparation for tamale making time (which is this week). I finished 11 dozen tamales today, only 40 dozen more to go.
This week I had a couple jobs to do Monday that were done by noon, but then The Bug felt the need to lay on me all afternoon and sleep in her sickness. I took her to the doctor that afternoon. Yesterday I had Daisy meeting and more cleaning to get done along with a couple of errands. Today I managed to get 11 dozen tamales done and am currently trying to get dishes cleaned up. Tomorrow I need to make one dozen of each: chocolate chip, oatmeal and peanut butter cookies in time for someone to pick them up by 9 am and them I'm on to more tamales before going to Enrichment night at 6 pm. Friday I will (hopefully) be making more tamales and that night The hubby is taking me out to dinner and to see the local community theater version of Narnia for my birthday (which is on Saturday--I'll be 30!)
Tamale delivery is going to be sometime by next Wednesday and then I don't have anything I have to do because Christmas break officially starts with early release from school on Friday the 19th. The trip is coming up after Christmas and I'm looking forward to that, but that will also be a whirlwind of activity.
I miss my kitty.
