Happy Birthday to Me

Well, today is my (and my twin sister's) birthday. My husband took me out to dinner and to see the community theater's production of Narnia last night. It was good. I had a good time last night. Today his brother's family (with my 3 nieces and 3 nephews), and a couple of my friends came over for brownie sundae's and present opening. The Princess and The Boy made me some awesome cards (I love my kids!)and gave me some candy with them (just what I need!---but I loved it!). The Bug gave me a foot massaging thing that I just slip my feet into, turn it on and it vibrates to massage my achy feet. That will be great for the days that I am up on my feet all day. My husbands present counted as the electric roaster that I got for myself before Thanksgiving.

On a different note--I saw my D'Briskashaw last night. We heard meowing and I looked in the alley and saw him in the corner of my next door neighbors' back yard. Something spooked him and he ran off though. I am worried about him because he is a fraidy cat, but he has always come to me. I think that he may be hurt and I know he is scared. I can't figure out why he isn't coming home, but at least I know he is still alive! I went yesterday to the Animal Control office and both local SPCA's and they hadn't seen him so I was despairing a little. Now I know he is still around and I am despairing that he won't come home. Ok, that's enough of that.

I have received orders for 73 dozen tamales. This is the most that I have ever received orders for and I am thinking that I must be crazy to do this. I have 23 dozen finished already so that leaves 50 more to do. I am going to need to go buy more pork roast and chili's! I also have 3 pies and two batches of fudge to make for people. Christmas is coming up fast and then the day after that we are off to Utah for our niece's wedding. Time is flying by way too quickly now a days. Well, I guess i need to get to work on some more tamales!

All I want for Christmas is my kitty cat back.
