Well, time has slowed down a bit since I have finished making and delivering 29 PIES for other people. Now I am busy making everything for my Thanksgiving with friends and family.
I bought myself a huge electric roaster this year (I have been wanting one for EVER)and that is where the turkey happily resides at the moment. It smells heavenly. Into the oven was just placed a Pumpkin Cheesecake! YUM. Now I have to make all the pies that have been requested from my family and friends:
2 Pumpkin, 2 Pecan, 2 Apple (1 with caramel and walnuts!), 2 Lemon Meringue, and 2 Chocolate Cream.
Sounds like a lot, but I have 18 people coming and I love pie. This way everyone has the opportunity to try a little of each one.
The Menu (What I'm Making):
TURKEY
Mashed Potatoes
Oven Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Turkey Gravy (NOT giblet, I don't like giblets. I feed the insides to the cats!)
Cranberry Jello Mold (Jellied Cranberry sauce mixed with raspberry Jello-O)
Homemade Crescent Rolls
Broccoli (I have tons in the fridge)
AND THE PIES!!!
(What other people are bringing):
A second TURKEY
Green Bean Casserole
Stuffing/Dressing (whatever you want to call it)
Cranberry relish
Jello
Deviled Eggs
Brownie Bites
I may have forgotten something, but you get the idea. We will have lots which means lots of leftovers!!! I love Thanksgiving leftovers.
Everyone have a great day and happy cooking/baking!

We had 17 at my in-laws for Thanksgiving today, I brought 2 pumpkin, 2 apple crumb and 1 chocolate cream (and one sugar free pumpkin for my FIL) and we had left over pie. Is the pumpkin cheesecake the one on PW's site? That one looked good. I've had a turkey roaster for years, but I melt huge slabs of wax in mine, so food never goes in it. Who did you have over this year?
