I am entering a give-away at My Wooden Spoon and to get an extra entry I am supposed to blog about a Hershey recipe. I created this brownie recipe and I use Hershey's Special Dark (European process) cocoa powder for it. They are decadent! Here it is:
Adriane's Brownies
makes a 13x9 pan
1 cup + 2 Tbsp Butter
3/4 cup Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour
Chocolate chips (optional)
Chopped nuts (optional)
In a saucepan over medium heatwhisk the butter and cocoa powder until melted and combined. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Whisk in the eggs one at a time. Add the sugar and vanilla. Last, add in the flour and combine till smooth. At this point you can add as many chocolate chips and chopped nuts as you would like. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Test for doneness, leave in oven for about 5 more minutes if necessary.
These are great on there own or dusted with powdered sugar. If you have to have frosting on your brownies I suggest whatever is your favorite milk chocolate frosting. ENJOY!
