So on Tuesday )the day that the arctic cold ice storm moved in) I woke up with a sore throat. That's ok, I sometimes wake up with a morning sore throat that goes away in a couple hours. Not this one! By the end of the day I felt like I was dying!
The Hubby came home with kids #1 & 2 and said something about #2 wanting to go to Cracker Barrel. I said to go now before the ice got worse and it got dark. Kid #3 was taking her nap (it was only 4:30) so I went to bed. I barely noticed when they got home. Hubby even came in and took a shower in our bathroom and I had no idea.
I got up at 7:30 and The Bug was still asleep! I had put her down for a nap at 3. I decided to take a bath and then watched Leverage with the Hubby at 9.
I felt worse the next day, but school was delayed and didn't start till 10 because of the ice so Hubby took care of the kiddos and left The Bug full, clean and happy. I just laid on the couch the rest of the day after they left for school. Hubby stayed home yesterday to care for The Bug so that I could rest and try to get better. That was so nice! I still feel pretty crummy--the cold has moved on to including a productive cough along with the sore throat and copious amounts of gunk coming from the nose area (sorry so gross!), but I think that I may be about to turn the corner toward being better. I was able to get up at 7:40 this morning after everyone left for school to care for The Bug without feeling like I was going to pass out. That has to be a good sign, right?
Anyway, I need to get better at posting here more often. It's just hard to feel like doing anything when you feel like death. My twin sis reminded me of one of my favorite movies the other day on facebook when I posted that I felt like death-- "My name is Muerte" "Hey Morty!". Can you name that movie? (Audrey you can't play!)
