I know that I still need to write all about the holidays, trip to Utah and house cleaning project, but first I need to say what's burdening my brain at the moment. . .
HAVE I COMPLETELY LOST MY MIND?!
The Boy and The Princess each had a friend sleep over last night. That wasn't so bad, all but the boy were totally conked before 11 pm. The Boy managed to stay up until "The Goblet of Fire" ended at midnight. I agreed to watch my neighbors kids starting at about 6:15 this morning. That's not too bad either. I got to bed by midnight so I figured that I could handle it and take a nap later. Here's the crazy part. . . THE KIDS GOT UP AT 5 A.M.!!!
I told them to be quite until 6 when I would get up and then I went back to bed and shut the door so I wouldn't hear the giggling and talking. It wasn't even 10 minutes later when The Bug started screaming and wanted to get up. . . so up I was by 5:15 in the morning. The Boy managed to stay asleep until about 6:30 or 7.
I was too tired to make breakfast so I took 2 kids and went to Albertsons to pick up a couple dozen doughnuts and some strawberries and grapes. It is now 8:41, my husband is still soundly snoozing in our warm, cozy, comfortable bed and I am out here with a gaggle (8) of hyper kids (most of them jumping on the trampoline in the cold 30 degree morning) and a house that looks like it's been through a tornado. But we're making memories. I love having my kids have friends over.
Oh, and the kids are wearing jackets out there!

While it definitely stinks that you've been up since 5, I am more impressed that you faced the bitter cold to buy breakfast. I had to feed animals (and bust the ice out of their water) early this morning and thought I was going to freeze to death!
Have fun with a house full of kids today.

A house full of kids by 6:30 am does NOT sound fun. I would have put their coats on them and PUSHED them out the door to jump on the trampoline. You have the patience of a saint!!!
