Today was an interesting day. And I say interesting to make it sound like it was interesting. It really wasn't. I slept in until 10:30 because I didn't get to bed until 4:30, and now here I am at almost 2:00 in the morning writing a new blog post!
I was up late last night because I went with Delcie to Walmart so we could get a jump on tax free weekend since it officially started at midnight Thursday night/Friday morning. I just had to get a few last minute school supplies for my kiddos. So did Delcie, but she was also buying items to prepare her oldest to head off to college. They leave on Tuesday to drive him to Utah where he will attend BYU.
It's crazy. When I married Peter in 1998 Deegan was only 5, now he's headed off to college. It's weird for me and I'm not his parent. I can't imagine what Duane and Delcie are feeling now!
Anyway, today was actually pretty uneventful. I was a bit checked out for the most part. I forgot to take my meds last night so I've had a killer headache. I did get out and take Shaylee to Kohl's to get her a couple new clothes for school. She got two new shirts (both with horses on them, of course), a pair of pajamas that was on clearance, a set of 3 sports bras (yes, she is already developing!), and we ordered a legging set that has the design of (you guessed it!) a horse. We ordered it through the kiosk at the store so I don't have to pay shipping. They didn't have one in her size in the store.
All of that only cost me $35! I had a 15% off coupon, then I used my $10 off of an order of $30 or more gift card and then I also had $10 in Kohl's cash to use from my last shopping trip there where I bought Kevin a backpack, lunchbox and myself a cute pair or wedge sandals that I got on clearance for $15.
That's how you do it people! I love shopping at Kohl's. I NEVER pay full price for anything there.
We had a little family movie night tonight with the kids since it's the last weekday of summer vacation. We borrowed Hoodwinked Too: Hood vs. Evil from the Redbox and watched it with popcorn. It was pretty cute. After that we sent the kids to our room to watch something else while Peter and I watched Morning Glory (borrowed from the library). That one was cute too.
I have to be up at 6:00 tomorrow to help out at my Bountiful Baskets site. Tomorrow is a new day and I remembered my meds tonight so it should be a good day!
