Slumber Party

There are currently a dozen kids in my house. Yes, you read that right, twelve. Three of them are mine of course. The other 9 are friends of my oldest two. All but two of those 9 are spending the night. That's right I have SEVEN kids spending the night at my house tonight!

We started at six o'clock with pizza and kool-aid for dinner. Some of the girls were jumping on the trampoline while it rained and got really wet, so pajama's were put on early! After dinner we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks and had ice cream.

It is now 9:30 and all of the girls are watching The Hannah Montana movie and the boys are playing games in Kevin's room. The total count of boys to girls (including my kids) is 3 boys and 9 girls. It's an interesting mix of invited guests: four of the girls are in my Girl Scout troop, one of the girls is the sister to a Girl Scout, one is a former Girl Scout from my first year as a leader who has moved back to town, and the last girl is one of Shaylee's best friends. Kevin has his best friend over and the other boy is a kid who I watch after school. His brother and sister were supposed to come too, but they went to their aunts house instead.

There is a lot of noise, but the kids are also having a LOT of fun, so it's worth it! As soon as I'm done writing this I think I'll make everyone some popcorn to have with their movie. And, if I'm good, breakfast will be pancakes.

Goodnight!
